This is so fun! I love mum’s cooking by eye technique. I’m a fledgling mushroom forager, still learning, and not yet trusting to eat what I’ve found… one day though! 🍄

I want to start foraging here as well! But it's better to go with experts until you learn your ways 😅

Interesting recipe, I'll try it for sure. It's funny, I grew up with a different fricandò recipe from Romagna (Emilia-Romagna). There, it is a vegetables stew. Probably I would love to cook each fricandò recipe from the world :)

Thank you for sharing Monica! I had heard of the French versions but I didn’t know there was one in Emilia-Romagna as well! I’m sure it’s very tasty as well. Could perhaps make a good side dish to the braised beef? 🥰

I didn't think about it but yesss, for sure. It could be a perfect side for the meat fricandò. Fricandò and Fricandò, et voilà! Bellissimo :)

Those plates are so pretty! There are so many kinds of mushrooms and this dish made with Catalan mushrooms looks so tasty. I'll have to look out for them at the market.

Thank you Lala! I got those plates in a flea market in Bangkok. They are very dear to me ❤️ Actually I have adapted the recipe so you can use any fresh mushroom available to you! I couldn’t find foraged mushrooms here so I bought a mix in the farmer’s market. Any “chef’s mix” should work fine 🥰
